Residential care for teens and young adults with intellectual disabilities and mental illness.
Maryville Casa Salama provides home-like residential treatment for adolescent females, ages 13-20, with both intellectual disabilities and mental illness. The young women attend local public or private schools, participate in recreational and vocational activities, receive treatment to facilitate emotional stability and develop independent life skills. Maryville Casa Salama provides the specialized services, structure and ongoing support to help these young women heal emotionally, spiritually and physically.
Maryville Casa Salama helps these young women work on areas of major life activities: self-care, interpersonal skills, receptive and expressive language, learning mobility, self-direction, increasing capacity for independent living and economic self-sufficiency.
